Shirley Schulz-Robinson PhD
Dr Shirley Schulz-Robinson is an innovator, curious, big picture, critical thinker, who works with clients to design services to meet their current needs and future aspirations. So what defines her as a professional?
Before she established Oasis Solutions Shirley’s varied career included nursing (mental health, general, disability, community, aged), community development, management, policy development, and academic teaching. Compassionate, and caring, she has worked with people from all walks of life – shared their joy, elation, anger, pain, hopelessness, distress and their success.
As an academic she taught mental health, community health, law and ethics, management and global health, developed new courses, assessments, and researched. Her research focussed on policy implementation, community health, professional practice, leadership and management. As a senior administrator and teacher she focussed on mentoring and coaching clinical staff, students (international, mature, school leavers), to believe in their ability to succeed, apply their knowledge, implement change, and provide excellent services for clients.
Her passion is working with individuals, groups, teams, that want to learn, grow, change, create – a better future.
Shirley began a third career, as a qualified professional coach, following her return to the health sector where she worked with clients and conducted Suicide Prevention, Assessment, Care Planning, workshops for staff and volunteers and Clinical Supervision for individuals and multidisciplinary mental health teams.
It was here she identified a need for coaching, for a supportive outsider, a confidant, to work with carers, clinicians and managers, to facilitate change – professional, organisational, personal, focusing on issues and challenges causing them concern and leadership development.
Her goal for Oasis Solutions is to work with individuals, groups, teams and organisations to further develop a strong sense of personal competence, professionalism, enhance leadership and employee engagement and build stronger teams.
Shirley is committed to working with individuals and organisations seeking to make sustainable personal, professional and/or organisational changes.
