Hypnosis involves being given positive supportive messages while in a deep state of relaxation, a trance state. During relaxation your subconscious mind accepts these messages but only if the messages are acceptable to you. Your conscious mind is aware of your surroundings.

Hypnosis is a voluntary state that brings about deep breathing, relaxation. Following hypnosis you will feel relaxed and refreshed, as if you have had a good sleep.

Hypnosis is effective for assisting people manage pain, reduce stress, gain confidence, release negative thoughts, beliefs and behaviours, overcome phobias, lose weight, cease smoking, recover from PTSD and trauma.

Program Packages

The Richards Trauma Process - many people experience trauma which impacts on their ability to live fully. This program, three 90 minutes sessions, is for those who have experienced trauma and found talking therapies have not met their needs. Clients engaging in this process are required to commit, complete homework, and engage fully. This safe, gentle and effective process can enable you overcome symptoms that have prevented you living a fulfilling life.  

This process is offered in person and via Skype.

Improving Educational Performance - many students, young and mature, experience perfornmance anxiety when studying, completing assignments, preparing for or sitting examinatiions. Anxiety interfers with your ability to perform to your potential. During three 90 minute group sessions you will learn how to relax, focus and achieve a state of calm at will. The aim is to build your confidence in your ability to succeed, relax, and focus so you can perform at your full potential.

This package is offered as an individual or group program. Groups are conducted for school and higher education students with special groups for mature adults returning to study. It is also offerred to schools.
